What's Old Is New Again

Last week's trip home to southern California to visit my parents just happened to coincide with their big move from our house of the past 15 years. While cleaning out my room and sorting through old jewelry, I stumbled across some stunning pieces that I had simply forgotten. Some had quite a bit of sentimental value, and some I can't quite remember where or whom they came from. Needless to say, I was so excited with my new findings! I even wore a few of the necklaces during my Palm Springs vacation.

A gift from my grandparents during one of their cross country trips

Have you ever dug up old jewelry or even clothes that you forgot you ever purchased? This is a fun reward when you're cleaning out your closet to donate unwanted items!

Ohh I love this!! The necklace you have on is so pretty, and so are you! The floral necklace almost looks vintage to me. Very cute finds. Also! I agree! I love going through my closet. Keep your things safe, the things that mean a lot to you, you never know if it will be gone in a flash. Take it from someone who was in the middle of moving and my whole sentimental box (the box that had everything in it that was sentimental to me) was stolen. You never know. Some things in life you never get over, and that is one of them. Very pretty jewelery! :)

Thank you! And I'm so sorry to hear about the things that were stolen from you. Who could do such a thing? When I run out of "old finds" in my own closet, I always ask my mom for anything she hasn't worn in a while. Chances are, everything will come back into style eventually. Or just start your own trend!

I completely agree! A long time ago my mom showed my sister and I her clothes from the 60's, it was when bell bottoms made a comeback! :) It felt pretty awesome wearing authentic vintage clothing past down from your mom. :) I live in a house with 46 girls and we had an old hollywood themed formal, I went to a vintage shop and bought a hat with a veil, I felt like I should have been at the Royal Wedding!! :) It was too fun. :)
