Style Obsession: Cutout Dresses

Cutout dresses have been all over the red carpet this season, and I can't wait to give this trend a try myself! Blake Lively and Taylor Swift definitely did this trend right. I love that they showed minimal skin. Large, gaping cutouts or slits are not exactly up my alley, but to each his (or her) own!

How to Wear Neon at the Office

Big, bold colors don't have to be restricted to your weekend wardrobe. Embrace the neon trend for the office too! I'm so in love with neon this spring that I've experimented with a few different ways I think it works for your 9 to 5 as well. The key thing to keep in mind is to pick only one neon item for the day and focus on that. While neon jeans and jewelry and a purse might work while you're out with your girlfriends, it's probably too much for the workplace. I recommend starting off with a bright top and take it from there!

Style Obsession: Neon

Bright colors have always been a rarity in my wardrobe. It's so easy and comfortable to stick to neutrals and black denim, but after observing so many neon trends lately, I just had to give it a try! If you're like me and you're a bit hesitant, just step inside a J.Crew or flip through one of their magazines- you'll be craving color in no time! Here are a few of my favorite neon pieces.

Casual Friday: Denim on Denim

I'm so excited for all the new denim trends this summer! I've seen pretty pastels, bright neons and even wallpaper-like florals. But one of my favorite denim trends so far is pairing a chambray top with skinny jeans. As long as the two shades aren't matching, you're bound to be putting together an effortlessly stylish look!

If you don't own a chambray top yet, I suggest starting at J.Crew. They have some affordable options that will last you more than just one season, like the one I selected below.

If you're just getting into the denim shirt trend and don't wan't to wear head to to denim, start out with black jeans first. I love this look on Ashley Olsen below!

Style Obsession: Chain Link Necklaces

I don't often wear jewelry, but when I do, I go for something that makes a statement. Needless to say, I do own my fair share of statement necklaces. And right now, I'm craving bold, bright chain link necklaces. They're beautiful and tough all at the same time! Since I tend to opt for more neutral palates in my clothing choices, spicing up an outfit with an eye-catching necklace is a great way to freshen up my look. Check out a few of my favorite picks below and let me know what you think.

Must Read: Very Classy by Derek Blasberg

While sipping a vanilla latte and skimming through the Fashion section of the book store (I do this way more often than I'd like to admit), I came across a cover that caught my eye: Very Classy by Derek Blasberg. I like to think of myself as a pretty classy young lady, but I never considered actually trying to learn more about etiquette. With weddings and baby showers and networking events becoming more and more a part of my daily life (hello adult world), I thought now was the perfect time to brush up on my behavior!

The second I got home I ordered six copies online and sent them off to my bridesmaids for a fun read. I have to admit that I'm just now diving into the text, but I can only tell you how excited I am to read it! Blasberg got so many raving reviews, including this glowing interview from The Zoe Report. If you've read his work, I'd love to hear what you think! Until then, I'll be flying through the pages in between all my wedding planning and, oh right, my nine to five.

How to Style your Bean Boots

All winter long I practically live in my Bean Boots. Off to yoga? Grabbing my Bean Boots. Running to the grocery store? Grabbing my Bean Boots. They're the perfect combination of practical and stylish! And my favorite part is that I can fold them down and show off the amazing shearling lining.

But don't let these comfy winter boots translate your outfit into "sloppy." Just because you're running out the door and into the snow, doesn't mean you have to throw on your old sweats too. One of my favorite ways to wear my Bean Boots is with a pair of cuffed jeans and lots of layers. You can even dress them up with tights and a dress!
